NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Pursuant to Idaho Code the City Council of the City of Shelley hereby gives notice that a public hearing will be held on April 9, 2025 at 7:30 p.m. at the Shelley City Hall, 101 S. Emerson Ave., Shelley, Idaho.
The purpose of this hearing is to consider transferring approximately 72 acres of real property from the City to the North End Recreation District, Inc. The City Council has made a preliminary declaration that the property is underutilized and is not currently used for a public purpose, and that the proposed transfer is in the public interest. The City would retain all water rights associated with the property for municipal purposes. The property is located at approximately 601 East 1250 North, Shelley, Idaho, just East of the former North Bingham County Park West of Shelley.
Additional information concerning the proposed transfer is available to the public at City Hall, 101 S. Emerson Avenue, Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. until noon.

Proposed Fee Increase
A public hearing will be held before the Mayor and City Council of the City of Shelley to hear public comment on increases in the following fees and charges, which are each proposed to increase by 5 percent or more:
Water Connection Fee which is currently $5,000.00 per connection is being considered to be raised up to $9,700.00 per connection due to the additional costs of capital improvements to infrastructure and replacement.
HEARING DATE AND TIME: Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at 7:30 p.m.

Any persons interested in giving written or oral comment on the fees and Increased fee requests may do so at the City Clerk’s Office, Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. until noon., or may attend the public hearing at which the fees and fee increases will be considered.
City Hall and the Council Chambers are accessible to persons with disabilities. Anyone desiring accommodations for disabilities must contact the City Clerk at least 48 hours prior to the public hearing.
